Review: Herbatint Permanent Hair Dye

*PR Sample

Herbatint Permanent Hair Dye

I took the plunge and dyed my hair. I'm not the sort of person to chop and change styles and color all the time so this was kind of big deal for me. I knew I wanted to have my hair different for this winter.

I decided to give the Herbatint Permanent Hair Dye a try. It was sent to me by nicholsonsbeauty for review purposes. Nicholsons has everything you need. There are beauty products, make up, food and supplements. Of course they also aid my penchant for dairy free, lactose free and gluten free chocolates and treats.

Herbatint is the first natural alternative hair coloring gel to be free of harsh chemicals and ammonia. It incorporates proteins, botanicals and natural vegetal extracts, nutrients that give hair its deep, natural shine and vibrant, healthy color.

In a 2011 Consumer Survey carried out by the publication 60 Millions De Consommateurs (the French equivalent to Which? magazine), Herbatint was rated the No 1 choice overall of permanent hair colour. Surveying 18 high street and natural brands (including L'Oreal, Sanotint, Schwarzkopf and Naturtint), this independent report studied not only the longevity of the colour result and the condition of the hair, but also the toxicity of the hair color ingredients.

I love the packaging of the boxes because she is so gorgeous and really looks amazing in any hair colour. Pack contains 1 Herbatint Haircolour Gel 60ml, 1 Glycol Developer 60ml, 1 sample of either Royal Cream Conditioner or Shampoo 10ml, 1 pair gloves, 1 leaflet giving directions for use.

I used the color –  6N Dark Blonde

So in my before photo, you can see that I have black roots and Blonde highlights.

This permanent hair colour is very easy to use. I chose it  because it really doesn't smell much at all which is a revelation compared to some stinky hair dyes. Perhaps it is due to the fact it has no ammonia.

After mixing the solutions I begin to separate my hair and make sure it is totally covered in the solution. 40 minutes later I was ready to wash this stuff out. Head over the bath and rinsed until the water ran clear at that point I applied the supplied conditioner which there is a lot of. Probably enough for 3 washes. The conditioner is very good and leaves your hair super silky.

And that's it job done, so really it's actually quiet simple to use this Color. Don't be afraid to give it a try. Here is the final look o my hair.
