Review: Steam Cream

I have used many moisturizers and while my favorites are often SPF day creams or

mattifying creams, I've never really taken a fancy to any night creams apart from Steamcream.  Steamcream is a moisturizer that can be used on your face, hands and other areas. I just use this on my face but I do tend to rub in what ever is left on my hands after application too. The texture and consistency is almost gel like. 

STEAMCREAM is handmade using only the highest quality, natural ingredients (as you would expect from any product affiliated with Lush!) The ingredients (otherwise chemically incompatible) are fused together by the interesting and latest development in beauty products.

SteamCream is packed within 75ml travel friendly patterned tins, which are all limited edition so are only available for short periods of time. They all retail for £12.95 each. I own the 'Fiore' design which is adorned with beautiful colourful flowers. I love that once I've finished my cream, I can keep and re-use the tin afterwards too as it's so pretty. Once the cream has been opened, it has quite a short shelf life of just 6 months.

The color of the product reminds the sea. It looks very calming and the scent is just amazing.

How to Use:
After applying toner or lotion, put suitable amount of cream on palm and apply smoothly all over the face and neck along with the skin texture to make it absorbed. As the final step of skin care, you need to cover face with the whole palms and press gently to make absorption higher.

It is very spreadable and not oily at all because this one is gel based. No greasy feeling; quite sticky at first though. Cooling effect is really nice. s this cream does not contain oil, it was successful in keeping my face hydrated yet non greasy.

1. It really is a low fat moisturizer. True to its name, it simply vanishes within minutes leaving your skin well moisturized, soft and supple without a trace of greasiness. Love that!!!

 2. I love the smell of this stuff… I find it calming(perhaps because of the essential oils).Its not overboard.

 3. It has never ever given me a breakout which I must admit should have been the top most point. Oh! its such a blessing when you actually find a product that's suiting your skin.. I have used this cream in the peak summer months in Pakistan weather and not a single breakout.. What more could I ask for??

 4. I have noticed a reduction in the blemishes on my face ever since I started using this cream and I can say that because I am only using this moisturizer apart from my cleanser, toner and sunscreen. My face is clearer and stayed clearer in summers which is such a happy feeling. Of course the cleanser and the night cream has a big role to play in this. I will review them separately.

 5. The quantity one requires is simply pea-size..that covers my face and neck (though I don't use on neck much. I prefer sunscreen there). So the pot lasts for a good duration. I have been using mine since before the beginning of summers except during monsoons when I avoided all moisturizers in general and I still have half the pot left.

MelanSol Moisturizer

The moisturiser is quite thin in consistency, but that does not mean it’s not heavy duty. It moisturises my skin and disappears into my skin with rubbing just a few times, no oily feeling or stickiness. I used it everyday for a month during and did not get any tanning. The sun was’nt really bright, so I used it before stepping out. The real test would be the soon approaching summers in north India. I hardly use a sunscreen in summers, but I am very eager to try this out. I can’t say much about the ageing because I don’t have any signs of aging yet. I am 28. Maybe they will appear after a few years.
